Chiropractic Services

Every year millions of Americans turn to chiropractic care for a safe, holistic and effective approach to alleviate shoulder, back and neck pain. They also turn to a chiropractor’s care to relieve pain in extremities, fatigue and general poor health. As a Chiropractor, we believe that correcting the root of the problem provides significant long term benefits rather than simply treating or masking symptoms.

We do not perform surgery or prescribe drugs but stress the importance of living a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise. These exercises will augment your chiropractic care between appointments.

We treat patients from infancy to the elderly. Misalignment of the spine can occur in any point of life, even during the birthing process.  Throughout the early development years a young body is subjected to many jolting experiences such as falls, that are just a part of growing up. These experiences can cause some physical problems when they reach adulthood. It’s easy to see why even young children can benefit from a chiropractic visit.

As an adult or senior citizen, you can benefit from chiropractic care as well. A visit to our office will be helpful in maintaining your mobility as you age. We can help you alleviate the conditions of general muscular aches and joint or back pain caused by arthritis and other natural degenerative changes.

Our goal is to help you maintain an active and healthy lifestyle in order for you to reach optimal health. If you are looking for a safe and natural way to heal your body and maintain your health, as your Chiropractor we can help you to do that.

Techniques used:

Diversified

This treatment technique is most commonly used by chiropractors to  adjust the full spine and extremities. The focus is on restoration to normal biomechanical function, decrease inflammation and correction of subluxation in joints. Diversified uses specific lines of drives for all manual thrusts, allowing for specificity in correcting mechanical distortions of the spine. It is most commonly associated with the “popping” or “cracking” sound from the adjustment.

Active Release Technique

Active Release Technique, or ART, is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly with ART.

Logan Basic Technique (Pregnancy and Pediatrics)

Logan Basic Technique is one of the lowest-force adjustive techniques used to correct biomechanical and postural distortions. It was developed by Logan College of Chiropractic founder, H.B. Logan, DC.

The technique is based on light, sustained force exerted against a specific contact on the sacrum. Auxiliary contacts at various points in the spine, or along specific muscles such as the piriformis, are also used. Basic Technique uses the muscular structure surrounding the sacrum as a lever system for balancing the entire structure of the spine. Dr. Newman has seen great results using Logan Basic to treat patients who suffer from scoliosis, pregnancy related pains and conditions, and with infants/children who suffer from conditions such as constipation, colic, bed wetting and asthma.
